Premium Foldable Design

Samsung has refined nearly every aspect of the Galaxy Z Fold8’s design to make it its most practical foldable smartphone yet. The device is noticeably thinner and lighter than previous Fold models, weighing just 201 grams, making it significantly more comfortable to carry throughout the day.

Its redesigned Armor FlexHinge allows the phone to fold more naturally while reducing the visibility of the crease, creating a smoother viewing experience when unfolded. Samsung has also reinforced the device with an Armor Aluminum frame, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protecting the cover display, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the rear panel, giving the Fold8 greater resilience against everyday wear and accidental drops.

The IP48 water resistance rating adds an extra layer of confidence for daily use, while the wider cover display makes typing, browsing, and replying to messages feel much closer to using a conventional flagship smartphone.

Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 offers two flagship-quality displays designed for different scenarios:

7.6-inch Main Display

The expansive foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen delivers:

QXGA+ resolution
Adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate
Up to 3,000 nits brightness
HDR support
Reduced crease visibility
Anti-reflective coating for improved outdoor visibility

Perfect for

Split-screen multitasking
Gaming
Watching movies
Reading
Editing documents
AI-assisted workflows

5.5-inch Cover Display

The redesigned cover screen is significantly wider than previous Fold models, making messaging, browsing, and everyday smartphone tasks much more comfortable without unfolding the device.

At the heart of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a processor specifically optimized in partnership with Samsung to deliver exceptional performance across demanding workloads.

Built to handle advanced AI processing, console-quality gaming, professional video editing, and intensive multitasking, the chipset works seamlessly with 12GB of RAM and ultra-fast internal storage to ensure fluid responsiveness regardless of how many applications are running simultaneously.

Switching between productivity apps, editing large files, or playing graphically demanding games feels effortless thanks to the processor’s improved CPU, GPU, and neural processing capabilities.

Operating System

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 runs Android 16 layered with Samsung’s One UI 9, offering one of the most polished foldable software experiences available.

Samsung continues to expand Galaxy AI across the device, introducing intelligent writing assistance, real-time translation, AI-powered photo editing, contextual productivity tools, and enhanced multitasking capabilities that take full advantage of the large foldable display.

Users also benefit from Samsung’s industry-leading commitment to up to seven generations of Android OS and security updates, ensuring that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 remains secure and feature-rich for years to come.

Dual 50MP Camera System

Samsung equips the Galaxy Z Fold8 with a versatile dual-camera system engineered to produce flagship-quality photos and videos in virtually every lighting condition.

The primary 50MP wide camera captures highly detailed images with excellent dynamic range and vibrant colour reproduction, while the accompanying 50MP ultra-wide camera expands creative possibilities by allowing users to photograph sweeping landscapes, large group shots, and dramatic architectural scenes without compromising image quality.

Samsung’s latest ProVisual Engine and AI-powered image processing work behind the scenes to optimise exposure, reduce noise, and enhance fine details, producing consistently impressive results whether shooting during the day or at night.

For selfies and video calls, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 includes dedicated 10MP cameras on both the cover display and the main foldable screen, ensuring users always have access to high-quality front-facing photography regardless of how the device is being used.

Video creators will appreciate support for recording in resolutions up to 8K, while advanced software features such as HDR video recording, AI scene optimisation, portrait enhancements, and Dual Recording provide additional creative flexibility. The foldable form factor itself also unlocks unique shooting angles and hands-free recording capabilities that traditional smartphones cannot easily replicate.

4,800mAh Battery with Fast Charging Convenience

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is powered by a 4,800mAh battery intelligently managed by Samsung’s AI-driven power optimisation system. Despite its slim profile and large displays, the Fold8 delivers dependable all-day battery life for productivity, streaming, gaming, and communication.

When it’s time to recharge, 45W wired fast charging quickly restores battery capacity, while fast wireless charging offers added convenience without the need for cables. Samsung also retains Wireless PowerShare, allowing the Fold8 to wirelessly charge compatible Galaxy Buds, smartwatches, and other Qi-enabled devices, making it a practical companion for users invested in the broader Galaxy ecosystem.
